Akil is a true champion man. As a boy he left behind his life in Trinidad and his parents in Brooklyn, New York to build a life for himself in Canada. Akil has worked his way up to be where he is in his industry, everything he has achieved has come from hard work, perseverance and admirable optimism. He started as a sneaker salesman and went on to become a youth outreach worker and vlogger. Akil began his career as an intern at Sportsnet thus leading him to become an inspiring Canadian television personality.
